Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at this Hopkins seven-way to four-way adapter with the flex coil wire and the night glow feature. Now not all trailer couples and vehicle hitches are the same height so because of this, some vehicles might require extra length on the trailer wiring to plug into the tow vehicle and provide enough slack for your turning radius. This nice flex coil adaptor can stretch up to three feet and it provides that extra reach while ensuring that the wire does not drag on the ground due to the nice flex coil design. This adapter will plug into the seven-way on your tow vehicle and an extend to plug into the four-way on your trailer. It will give you the stop, turn and taillight functions when it's plugged in. more

Review of CURT Trailer Wiring - 4-Way Flat To 7-Way Socket Adapter - C26DR- Video
Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com, and today, we're gonna take a look at this Curt 4-Way Flat to 7-Way Socket Adapter. This adapter is going to convert the 4-way flat trailer connector on your vehicle to a 7-way socket, and the 4-way flat trailer end is going to plug into the 4-way flat on your vehicle, and the socket plugs into a 7-way RV blade connector, and that connector is sold separately. So this is going to enable the installation of a Curt Echo brake controller on 4-flat vehicles. Now, to install, this is going to be a relatively simple install, you wanna locate your vehicle's 4-way flat harness and attach it to the 7-way harness, and if the harness is in the hatch or in the trunk of your vehicle, you will need to route the 4-way flat to the outside of the vehicle, and this can be done by routing through a grommet in the trunk or hatch area, potentially, under your spare tire. Next, you do want to run a power wire from the battery to the black wire on this harness and splice it together. This black wire is going to get connected to one end of this included bundle of black wire, and using one of the included butt connectors, you're just going to connect these two wires together, and then the other end of this bundle is going to get routed to your vehicle's battery. more

Curt Trailer Connector Adapter Installation - 2022 Hyundai Tucson- Video
Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look and installing the Curt 4 to 7 and 4-pole adapter on a 2022 Hyundai Tucson. Now having 4-pole trailer wiring on your vehicle is great because you get your turn signals, your brake lights, and running lights on the trailer, but sometimes you are towing a trailer that has a 7-pole and then you're kind of stuck without that lighting function unless you have an adapter and there's a bunch of different styles available. But this is a really nice way to ensure that you're not gonna have to worry about carrying an adapter with you because we are able to have both. So we have our 7-way here with a spring-loaded cap that's gonna keep it nice and closed when we're not using it, so it's gonna stay nice and clean. And the same goes for the 4-pole here that mounts up to the bracket. It's got a nice little cap here, so if you're hooking up to your 4-pole, no problem, and your 7-way it's gonna be right there. more

Whereas our previous one, you can see it doesn't quite open up as much so you're kind of at a downward angle. It's hard to see if it's actually attached. And this one also has two handles here to make it easy. more

Now, this is a great option to upgrade from your previous 7-pole, not only because you can get a nice plug that goes up 180 degrees, which this one, being in an angle, makes it a lot easier to get our plug in, whereas our previous one, you can see it doesn't quite open up as much, so you're kinda at a downward angle, it's hard to see if it's actually attached. And this one also has two handles here to make it easy, but the great part too is you're no longer stuck with just a 7-pole, you also have a 5-flat as well as a 4-flat down here, so you can still get those lighting functions, whether you're hooking up to your 7 or your 4-flat, and you can actually do both. So our neighbor here today is flat towing his vehicle, but he also has a bike rack that has lights on it, so he can plug his 4-pole in here, and it's gonna work on both of them. What's nice about this kit is it's going to be a pretty simple installation, because it comes with a bracket to mount up. Ours already had that, so we don't have to use it, but it also comes with the mounting hardware here, and it also comes with terminal grease, so you can get that dielectric protection on your plug. more

This is going to convert a tow vehicle's seven pole wiring connection, to a five pin delphi trailer connection, with the two pin camera connection, so that you can see your camera when you're towing a trailer with a backup camera. So you'll be able to monitor that feed. This does have a grip handle on the seven way plug for an easy connection and disconnection, easily pull it out, gives you plenty of grip there. You can see this does have the coiled cord that's gonna stretch and contract to prevent unnecessary stress on the wires. more

This kit from Hopkins is going to be a universal 7-way replacement package. It's gonna be great for your RVs, or your trucks and vehicles, or even some of your cars and things like that. Now, if you do have a more modern truck or SUV, we have styles here that we sell at etrailer that are OEM replacements that are likely gonna fit better than this Hopkins one is inside of your truck. But, if you've got an RV like this, where it's just gonna have like a bracket here at the back, this is actually a fantastic kit. It comes with your 7-way connector, also comes with a plug harness on the back, and that's why I really like this kit, is because it comes with that harness. A lot of your motorhomes are gonna have a hardwired style on them, where the wires just go right into the back of the 7-way connector, you have to take it apart to get the wires out. more

Now, this adapter harness will let you span an additional 35 feet between your seven way round pin connector on your tractor to the fourway flat connector on your agricultural towable implement. So, this will allow you to bring power from your tractor to light up the lights on that implement. This does offer a full length ground which will ensure reliable and continuous operation. If you notice on the seven way end, it has this nice easy finger grip on it, makes the ease of installation and removal of the seven way and as we mentioned, total length on this cord is 35 feet. more

This is a seven blade RV style trailer connector that will mount onto your vehicle. It's gonna be very simple to get installed. Review of CURT Trailer Wiring - Trailer Connectors - C42JR- Video
Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at the Curt Replacement 7-way RV Style and 4-way Flat OEM USCAR Trailer Connector. Now, this part here will replace the OEM connector to provide a 4-way and a 7-way trailer wiring connection, and it is designed to fit the USCAR-equipped vehicles with the factory tow plugs only. Now, the 4-way flat output right here will connect your taillights, brake lights, and turn signals, and then the 7-way blade socket will do those three, and also add reverse lights, electric brakes, and auxiliary power. Now, on the caps, they do use nice rubber gaskets that'll help keep the moisture and the elements out when the cap is closed, and they are spring loaded, you can see, so that will keep them closed, keeps the connectors clean when they're not in use, and they also use pre-greased terminals for a nice reliable connection. But that should do it for the review on this Curt Replacement 7-way RV Style and 4-way Flat OEM USCAR Trailer Connector.. more

Hey everybody, how's it going Today we're gonna be going over and showing you how to install the adapter four-pole to seven-pole with four-pole here on our 2022 Hyundai Palisade. So here's what our adapter looks like installed on the vehicle. Now, as the name states, we have both a four and a seven-pole connection. Now it does come with almost everything you need for installation. There is one thing you're gonna need that you're not gonna have, and that's gonna be the bracket to attach the trailer connector bracket to the actual cross tube or wherever you decide to mount it. So it does come with a bracket that attaches to the trailer connector but you still need another one known as a long no-drill bracket, which we carry here at etrailer. more

Hopkins 7-Way RV to 4-Way Flat Trailer Connector Adapter Review HM47340- Video
Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer, and today we're taking a look at the Hopkins 7-way to 4-pole adapter with built-in LED test light. Unlike a traditional adapter, this actually has a built-in LED light that lets you know that your signals are on. So right now we have our running lights on and when we run through our turn signals, these will also illuminate, and that's something that's really nice because right then and there, you can see if your connection is working. So whether you've been towing with the same vehicle with a 7-way and you've picked up a trailer that now has a 4-pole, this is gonna allow you to adapt to it and you're gonna be able to hook up all the same, have all your lights work. Or if you have gone from a 4-pole to a vehicle with a 7-pole, this will also allow you to adapt to that as well. So that way you can make the junction between the two. more

Now, this is gonna allow you to take your four pole adapter, and actually hook up to a seven way trailer. You still maintain your four-pole, so this really opens up the options for anyone that tows two different styles of trailer, or having the ability to hook up to a bunch of different trailers. Now, this is also nice if you eventually wanna add a brake controller, as you can do that. Your four-pole is going to give you your running lights, your turn signals, and your brake lights. Now, you're also gonna get that with your seven pole but you have the availability to eventually add the wiring to run a brake controller, you can also put a reverse lockout if you're towing a boat, or you can have a 12 Volt power supply, and that's gonna be useful on some of your trailers with your jacks or whatever may be powered. more

So the one that we have right here is about 14 foot in length, but we're also gonna have a 10 foot, an eight foot and a four foot. It's all gonna have a 14 gauge wire on the inside. And the diameter of this jacket is gonna be about 0.4 of an inch. So now all of these trailer wearings come with jackets. more

Hey everybody, how's it going Today, we're going to be going over the Hopkins power inverter adapter for seven-way trailer connectors. So, I'm sure you're probably asking yourselves now why we actually need an inverter that plugs into our seven-way. So, if you're fortunate enough to have a newer truck a lot of these actually have 120 volt outlets built into the truck bed that allows us to plug in pretty much any of our household appliances that we may need. But, if you have a truck that's a little bit older chances are you don't have those 120 volt outlets. Now those outlets that we're using there, they can come in handy. Hopkins Trailer Wiring Adapter Installation - 2020 Toyota Corolla- Video
Hey everyone, Shane here with etrailer.com. Today I have a 2020 Toyota Corolla, and I'm gonna walk you through how to install the Hopkins 4-Pole to 5-Pole adaptor plug. What this is designed to do, is if you have a 4-pole plug on your vehicle, but your trailer has a 5-pole, this allows you to hook into your 4-pole plug on your vehicle, to give you that 5-pole end, if your trailer has a reverse light circuit. The blue wire coming off is gonna have a bullet connector on it, it's gonna come with the extension to connect to our reverse light circuit in the vehicle. This way your trailer, having that reverse light circuit, will allow anybody behind you, if you're backing up, to see what you're doing. What makes this nice is if we're not pulling a trailer with a 5-pole, we can take this adapter, we can throw it in our glove box, or with our other wiring. more

RoadMaster 6-Wire Trailer Connector Installation - 2021 Ford Ranger- Video
Hey everybody, Ryan here at trailer. Today on our 2021 Ford Ranger we're gonna be checking out and showing you how to install the RoadMaster six way round connector plug. So just to kind of give you guys an idea on what your connector plug will look like when you're not using it, whenever you're just kind of cruising around town, you can see it's gonna do a pretty good job of blending in. Thankfully the Ranger has a lot of different spots where we can mount this up and it's kind of dark in this area. So with the plug being black in color it does do a great job just kind of, blending in to the front of your Ranger so it don't stick out too bad. With that said, when you're not using it it does have a spring loaded cap and it's pretty tight actually. more

Hey everybody, Ryan here at etrailer. Today on our 2020 Lincoln Corsair, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Tecontra upgraded vehicle wiring harness with a four way flat trailer connector. So the way this kit is going to work is it's going to provide you with the necessary lighting functions to eliminate all of the lights on your trailer. So whenever you're ready to use it, you can open up your hatch, lift up your floor covering, and it's going to be located right here inside. Now you can always run it outside and mount it up next to your hitch if that's what you want to do, but for the most part, I think this is a safe bet. So you have your four-way flat, and you're just going to close this in the hatch. more
